When you try to print to a network shared DoPDF printer I ran accross that tutorial earlier. The only thing I don't like about it is that I want the printer to prompt the user for a save location. Runs on Server as shared printer in directory and individual Clients i.

PDFs can be automatically saved to users individual network folders, or users can interact and define where to save. I like the fist option as you get the pdf saved on the network, and not just as an email attachement. I am very new to spiceworks, and am glad that I have found a question that I am able to make a contribution to the community, as I have already found some very useful stuff here in my short time.

Thanks to you all. I thought of PDF Creator, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that we've had all kinds of problems with it on various machines in our office, mine included. It will act like it's going to print and then does nothing. It locks up some of our machines. It's most likely a conflict with other installed software but I've not bothered to troubleshoot as there are several similar products that do the same thing just as well.

The PDF Monitor has to be running in order for the job to process - this will help with the "not printing" issues. I've been using doPDF for a few years and I haven't had any problems with it. Like the last poster, I haven't used it as a network printer, just installed on any client that needed it. I had the same issue and found that the server needs to have a account in my case, Admin logged in, in order for the PDF service to run.
